Guys, I posted this on post-1900 and it was recommended I post here so.... I was hoping somebody could help me indentify the kind and approximate age of a soda bottle I found while boating on the Ottawa River. I have included a pic of the bottle and here are the basic facts I know. - 8.5 inches tall - Made of clear/aqua glass - Has a crown top - Seam runs full lenght of the bottle, including the lip - The bottom has a "suction scar" - Has lots of bubbles, defects and a lop sided bottom (more glass on one side) - Most importantly it is embossed THIS BOTTLE IS THE PROPERTY OF A. HUCKELS & Co OTTAWA, ONT Any ideas of the purpose and age of the bottle? Any idea of who "A. Huckels" was and what he did in the Ottawa area? Here is the pic:
