Thought people might be interested in seeing some of the bottles that have been coming up out of Simon's Town Harbour ( a little way down the Peninsula from Cape Town!)
I have a navy diver friend who has been bringing me a number of bottles dived out during regular "clean up" dives. The majority are local Mineral Waters and South African beers, but some have travelled quite a way.
The first is an aqua 1940's Coke -

I thought "Soda Stream" was a recent product, but this one is a lot older. It has an internal screw thread -

Nice finds! I especially like the Soda Stream and this green bottle. Can you make out anything on the front label? I can't see any letters but the other pic you showed says it was made under the authority of Mission of California. I love the funky shape and I have not seen one quite like it before. I would guess it is from Mexico or somewhere in South America.

That's a Quicky, probably from New Haven, Connecticut.

Cows - there was a piece of paper from someone called "Marley" saying he had "run out of grass". Must have been a desperate gardener or farmer ?!!

SAbottles,

The Quicky looks like this. There's one on ebay now, got the photo from there.

Hello,  I have a similar bottle in amber glass and I am sure it is from the UK.  It doesn't have the arrows.  RED M.
