Just one of the thousands of bottling works across this great and mighty country of ours. The "LI" is Long Island.
Lobey.

Ok, here is the dirt on the Soper Bottling Works:
Operated by Lemuel G. Soper between 1888 and 1926.  When he closed the business, all the equipment was sold to Perry Henschel of Port Jefferson.  He listed himself as a manufacturer and bottler of Russet Cider, Lemon Soda, Plain Soda, Ginger Ale, sarsaparilla, Birch Beer, Little Daisey, Root Beer and Mineral Water.  Parades, Picnics and Balls all supplied on short notice.
Telephone number was 139-M, located on Harbor Road, St. James.
Business sales volume was appx. 10k per year.
Located in St. James, in Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.
Information from "A Historical Guide to Long Island Soda, Beer & Mineral Water Bottles and Bottling Companies 1840-1970".
There are dozens of variations in his bottles.
Hope this helps.
