We started a pit today where the guy walked up last time we were there, and said he (dug all the pits) on this lot 7 years ago.He said "ohhh nooo these houses are 1890s the bottles were barely bimmil, there are only 2 privys on the lot". That guy is tripin! I guess he didn't do his home work, because these homes are 1870.Never listen to a rival privy digger,he may not know what the hell-o he is talking about It took us a while to knock out a huge clay cap,but we found a bunch of decent stuff on top of the cap in an ash layer only three feet down. The bottom (should) have stuff, but who knows.Tomorrow we will go down Hutches and blobs 3 feet into the pit.
