Here's a stoneware ink bottle that I am fairly certain is American in origin.
It stands a little over 2" tall, but is rounded.
I found this in a late 1700 early 1800 dump.

       Sorry I can't tell you anything about your ink other than with the rounded top it sure is a neat one. Seems to look just like the one you post with the lable though . But as we know that does'nt mean a thing .I look for inks all the time and these are the first two I've seen with the round top like that . Makes me think there older real close to 1700s as I have a few stone jugs that I know are real early 1800s that remind me of that shape . Hope someone can come up with some real info for ya . Wish I could come across a neat one like that .Good luck diggen an finding to ya Woody .

Nice ink, Woody. I have never seen that particular shape, but I would agree with Bill that it is very early. It could be English, but could also very well have been locally made. Our local pottery here is known to have made small items out of extra clay from the crock batches. ~Jim
