I dug yesterday and came up empty. I know that sounds bad but it gave me time to hit a yard sale less than a mile from my house. I almost passed it up until I saw the bottles on a table. I turned around and went back. I knew the family having the sale well, having went to highschool with two of them. What I didn't know was that their father had dug and collected bottles from atleast 1975. There was an assortment of sodas on the table and when I asked about other bottles I was informed the basement was full of jars and milk bottles. They invited me in to look and right away I was finding good local milks. They asked me to make an offer and I did. They said the only stipulation is that I take every last one including the insulators. Being the obsessive bottle nut I am I conceded to their demands. two truck loads later and back at the ranch, my brother, nephew, and dad proceeded to see what I had. I don't have a count as of yet but there are dozens of sodas, dozens of beers, over a hundred fruit jars, a selection of insulators, and well over a hundred milks. Here are a few photos from last night. I'll be sure to list the better finds on the forum for anyone who may be interested in them.
