Hey all, I am up here in WA state where occassionally we get some ground shaking. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion regarding some putty or double sided tape that could be used to help "stick" bottles down to prevent them falling off a shelf in a moderate shake? Obviously with a larger one, the furniture and cabinets themselves may come down, but I just want to be as careful as possible in some of my collection rattling off the shelves.

Thanks!

Take a look at this old post-I got the idea from someone here on the forum who lives in Hawaii.  It has worked out well for me.

Here's a photo of a few of my "junk" bottles I attached to a piece of plywood shelving with the museum gel.
This stuff is a removable clear putty/gel that you can apply to the bottom of your bottles to stick them to your shelf.
It comes off easily and can be used again. It's pretty cheap too! I got mine for about $5.00 on amazon.com.
Also I suggest you attach your shelves to the studs in your wall. There are several little wire devices you could use that you could probably find at any home depot type store.
