Hey all I started a stone lined privy today .There was new trash and rocks and a broken toilet in the first three feet then a small clay cap and lime under that .Then cobalt blue every were .I have never seen so many in one whole .Who every lived there had a bad gut thats for sure.I'am only at about the 4 ft mark now because theres so many Bromos .Theres 4 diffrent sizes there were also quit a few M.L.Greens I belive they were and a few other commons.I'am guessing I dug at least 100 bromos today with at least a couple of feet more because I can't get a prob though them. Heres a pic of a bucket full .I'am headed back tomorrow to try and finish and I'am hoping there some older or good home town stuff farther down.
Thanks for looken .
bill

Go through them for oddballs and use the rest for backfill.

Hey, that's my kind of privy!  As Swiz said look for spelling errors and off colors, I'd be interested in any oddballs you want to get rid of.  There was an article in ABGC a few years back where these guys found 3000 or some outrageous amount in one privy hole, they found so many they used them to make a couple mosaic style pics for the magazine. I'd love to see you pop a yellow green one out of there!

P.S. hope you dig some inks and other goodies.    That's L.M. Green isn't it?

Hey Bill, I hit a hole like that once. Funny thing was that there were other bottles mixed in with the bromo's, but they were All cobalt. Some killers were in there broken including a prices patent candle co. As luck would have it, every single bromo was perfect!!! LOL Go figure?

i dont get it, ive only dug two bromos in my whole life, must not have been too popular in these parts???? i would have a hard time putting all them back in the hole, wish i had some kind of creative use for them but after working all day in the 100+ heat my brain is fried anyway good luck on the rest of the pit

We can usually get .75 to a $1 for bromo's around here. I only toss them back if they're screw tops. They make decent gifts to people interested in window bottles and don't really collect bottles. Swiz

Hope you find some good ones in there Bill .  Don't know how you are doing it . I thought it was too hot to spread straw on the front yard where I had stumps removed last week , let alone be digging !

Cool privy dig Bill! Just my two cents but I consider Bromo's keepers... Think about it....They're small, display well, lots of embossing, cool color(s), neat shape, and fun give aways too.

Cool dig Bill! The first privy my son Devin ever probed was full of nothing but bromos, an ironstone plate and a pumpkinseed flasks. 380 or there about if I remember correctly including a couple teal ones. Good luck with the rest of the hole. I hope all is well with you.

No bromos out this way. I've dug one little guy in 16 years.

Hope you hit some goodies on your way down!
