I have seen alot of poison bottles that date anywhere from 1890 to the 1920' s.I don' t hardly ever see any before that time.Is it that they are harder to find? How far back do the bottles go,that are labled poison?
Thanks.

poison bottles have been around a long time, thousands of years. the most interesting ones were made between 1870 and 1930..this is when they had raised designs so the user could feel the danger. sometimes with skull and crossbones ,but usually heavy ridges, lattice , diamonds and odd shapes so it felt very different. cobalt and bright green glass helped set them apart from the common bottle. types of poison they contained were animal and plant poisons as well as dangerous medicines. also household chemicals such as ammonia.and bug killers.
