I am interested to know more about the Sodalicious Book. I had actually ordered the book from the author in 1995.  I received it (a notebook) with only a few inserts on a few bottles.  Once you got the book he would tell you you needed to subscribe (pay a certain amount per year) and get additions to the book as he found different bottles, etc.  That ticked me off that he didn't tell you up front.  Well-I subscribed anyway..... and now in 2007 I am still waiting for inserts. Never received the first one.  I wrote to him...I don't know how many times. Never heard a word.  It was a rip off as far as I was concerned.  So-I was wondering what is in your book. I thought it might be the few I have in mine and that is it. I wonder how much $$ David Meinz made off that deal!?!??!!?

The Painted Soda Bottle Collectors Association (PSBCA) has a GREAT book on ACL soda bottles.  It has some history and a lot of photos!   http://psbca.thesodafizz.com/      . It should show how to order the book.  I know they are working on a new book, but who knows how long it will be before it comes out.

Wow Doug.  That does sound like a rip off.  If I rememeber right that book was around $30 bucks back then.

Do you know what happened to David Meinz? I heard that he had passed away about 7 years ago, but I am  not sure.

Idigjars.  The book digdug recommended is incedible.  It seems like a lot to spend but it'll change your life.  :-)

I don't know what ever became of David Meinz. I did some searches today on the internet and found a David Meinz, that is a public speaker on health issues. I don't think it is the same one though.  The book was around $30 or so way back then.  I am not sure if I even have my copy anymore.  It was one of those things that the more I looked at it the more I got mad. (And I am an easy going person).  So I ended up packing it away in a box about 8 years ago and hadn't seen it since.
