Im slowly trying to build a tumbler. I would love to buy one but my wallet does not support a Jar doctor Machine (Man they are cool.). I have some supplies already

I have a 1/3 Hp motor 1725 rpm constant duty thermal protected motor.
I have a supply for copper. My brother is an electriction and is helping me with scraps.
I have acces to a welder.
I have lumber

My questions are more related to the specifics of the tumbler.
What size drive rod should be used?
From my reasearch I gather it should be a cold rolled drive rod?
In your experiernce do you like using simaler idle rollers as the drive rod and pillow block bearings or do you like using the spring loaded conveyor rollers?
Does anyone have a good trusted location to find the inside gripper mechcanical test plugs? ( Ive been looking at lowes and home depot and havent seen one.)
What is the difference in number 40 and 80 Clear pvc pipe?
