Here are two that I picked up recently. First, the KU-14 star jar with POISON. Second is a very scarce 3-oz emerald green KI-2 irregular hexagon. It has a lip chip, but I got it for about five bucks! It will fill the hole nicely until a better one comes along (which may be a while!). ~Jim

Hi Steve, The star poisons are a decent bottle. Listed in my book as R-3 (scarce), and priced at $50-75. There is also a variant that is not embossed POISON.

There are a few screw-cap poisons that are worth some $$, including one that is valued near a thousand! A good general rule is, if it says POISON, keep it! The screw-cap amber KR-9s and KV-1s are actually much scarcer than their cork-top counterparts. In my opinion, they lack the character of the corkers, but are very desirable as a scarce variant. ~Jim

Thanks, Rick. I dig the clear ones all the time and aquas on occasion, but no cobalts! According to my book, they also came in apple green. I'll be happy to buy a cobalt from you when you get a chance to pick one up. I saw your star pair, very cool. They are one of my favorite screw cap poisons. ~Jim

The ground-lip KE-1 is cool. I also love the green Lyons. Insect powders are cool, I recently saw a cobalt John Henry go for over $800!

The latest dated poison I have found is the KO-3 iodine, which was patented in 1936. Even the common screw-top McKessons go back to 1929. Around the 20s, they started to focus more on safety caps and less on distinct bottles. ~Jim
