US pontil meds available as swaps - 1/21/2012 3:23:53 PM    deepbluedigger   Posts: 594 Joined: 1/12/2006 From: Yorkshire, England Status: offline I have 3 interesting American pontil meds (see the photo) available as swaps for British embossed pontils. Preferably medicines, but others always considered. The US bottles are: - Dark olive green / black Swaims Panacea. Sand type pontil. VGC (one tiny flea bite to top outside edge of lip) - Flint glass E. BYAM'S LIQUID OPODELDOC. Solid rod pontil, flared lip. About perfect. - Flint glass Whitwells Patent Volatile Aromatic and Headache Snuff. Solid pontil, rolled lip. About perfect. The Whitwells is a Boston, Mass, bottle. E. Byam (Ezekiel Byam) was a prominent businessman in the early to mid 19th century, mostly from the manufacture of matches rather than medicines. There's a lot about him online. Anyone interested let me know. I can post or email more pictures and more detailed descriptions if requested. Also happy for all 3 of these to go in one deal if it's for a British pontil I really like. Similarly, will top up with $$$ if necessary.
