Figured this would be a good spot for all to put things they have an idea of what they are, but not much else.

This lid was probably for something in the kitchen, but I don't really know.  Do you?

The deep lip on this one makes me think it was something that moved around alot while being used, other than that, I don't have a clue.  Do you?

This could be some sort of handle. Or do the scratches on the end opposite the metal spindle say it's a leg to something?

The coloring is exactly the same as a 70s-80s popular guitar pick, the way the light shines through.

Usually I don't have much problem with shells, but they usually all look the same.

These ones however had a more primitive looking primer in them.  They are marked U. S. C. Co.      18   I'm guessing that USC Co. stood for United States Cartridge Company, but the 18 and what looks to me as a split, or multipart primer I've never seen.

The first one could also be a light cover ....my dad has something like that and it lifts out of a light metal "frame" for cleaning.

Hey man on I cant really tell from the pic but if the shells has 2 holes where the primer seats in it is berden primed which is still used today in some countrys but not many and not in the US and they are not reloadable the, 18 probably is what part of the company that made it but I dont know for sure about that but other than that it looks like 30-06 shells in an old mil. clip

It looks like the primer is set in a 3 part sleeve.  It also looks like the firing pin almost went clear through the primer.  Thanks WV, you know my moms family is from down your way.

I found the shells.  They were made by the United States Cartridge Company through a government contract in 1918 and used in WWI.  This must have been a clip that was brought back and ended up in the dump.  There's one down, any suggestions on the right.  And they were 7.62mm

Hey Josh, the first cover looks like it came off a refridgerator bowl, the second from an apothicary jar.

The glass thing with the W looks like a machinery light cover. It would light up to tell you what ever W was needed attention.

The skids are off a piece of light office furniture like a telephone table. My grandparents had one with skids simular to that.

If the shells are WW1 vintage and used over seas they would be 3006 and for a 1903 Springfield rifle. If they were used in the US for basic rifle training they would be 3040 Crag.

Thanks Cap!  I finally found that info about the shells on an antique ammunition forum.  WV, they are from Pt. Pleasant, many of them still live there and one who does is a gun dealer.  They used to live right above the river near the old Silver bridge location.  I know of a few places I'd like to dig someday down there.  If I ever get the chance to make it down, I'll definately need a digging partner.
