Unidentified bottle... - 7/1/2008 7:49:09 PM    daisy   Posts: 1 Joined: 7/1/2008 Status: offline Hello everyone, My grandpa found a bottle under his barn and we were wondering if anyone could help us out in finding out more information on it. I don't have the resources to post a picture, so I will describe it the best that I can.  It is a green colored bottle that looks like it would have been sealed with a cork.  It is imprinted with "H. Schultheis" and also, "Waterloo, Ills." on the side of the bottle.  The barn may have been built as early as 1859, so maybe that is when the bottle ended up under the barn. What sort of top (Square lip, disc shaped lip, etc)? What is on the bottom? Is there a jagged spot that looks "Broken"? Is there a reddish or greyish deposit on the bottom?
