The man had quite an interesting history which included "counterfieting". As for as the dye I can't find a lot yet, just some old ads and such. I'm still researching. I'm hoping the condition is good, I never heard back on my question. It looks like a cork and remnants of product are in it. I'll wait and  see but I'm excited. I guess $15 for an embossed pontil with a small knick wouldn't get me too upset. What do you think or know?
