Here is something I bet you wont find every day at the old bottle dump! I found these slag glass cards last fall in the old farm dump across the brook from my house here in maine. The "cards" measure 3 1/2" X 2 1/4" X 5/8" These cards "glow" a brilliant yellow under a long wave fluorescent lamp, no doubt from a radioactive activator additive in the glass... Has anyone ever seen these before and I wonder what they used them for??

Hey Jim, sorry we didn't connect at the show today It was a good one though I've been trying to find information about your 'cards' since I saw your post. I'm going to give my new friends at the antique marble collectors a quest to find info. I believe they might be produced by one of the old marble companies, Akro Agate, Pellitier. We'll find some answers I'm sure.
