Very Early English Poison - 4/29/2006 8:53:02 PM    Jim Posts: 3634 Joined: 7/5/2005 From: Lewistown, PA Status: offline Here is an early sheared-lip English poison that I bought today. It is rectangular, really pretty aquamarine blue (deep natural aqua) and stands just over 5 1/4". The front side is embossed with diagonal warning ribs, and the shoulders on both sides are embossed POISON. A cool bottle that I happen to know almost nothing about so any info is welcome. It is listed in the Poison Bottle Workbooks, and has a KR (rectangular poison) number, which of course I forget. I have seen a few of them sell since I got this one, and they're usually in the $10-20 range. It is one that you don't see every day, and a pretty cool poison bottle. It's a KR-12.  Such a rich color and burst lip, and very crude molding.  Unfortunately, no pontil.  Looks like it would have one, but alas....I forget how much we paid for ours.  Have only seen 1 or 2 others for sale.  And 1 was kind of busted up.  I think we paid between 30-40ish.
