I found this old wheel about 3 feet down while digging for bottles. Is it common to find old wheels like this when digging? It's a pretty neat thing, so I put it next to a tree in the front yard for decoration.

Hi B R
You have to wonder how many turns that wheel has done. I actually gold detect but if I come across a huge thing like that in the ground the detector just sounds off major big time, indicating junk, a roll if wire would do the same thing.
They always look good in the garden.
