Speaking of funny names... There was a pharmacy in Montclair called "Loeser's Pharmacy"... I wouldn't want to be seen going in there...

Status: offline 		Those are funny, I hope to see more added here it would be interesting to see what other funny names are embossed on some of these bottles.  I don't think I own any funny named bottles it's a bit late now but I may check my collection tomorrow as I bet there could be some really funny one's since language/slang  has changed so much since the old days.

I did see a bottle on the Medicine bottle nexus site called Anti F*g, not really funny since it's demeaning,  but it's still odd to see something like that.

I saw a PA beer or soda bottle recently from a bottler named Andrew Stanker. That would be a fun name to have today.  ~Jim

Status: offline 		A good ol' Butturf. I have one of those. They are semi-local to me (about 20 miles away), and are one of the most common blob beers around this area. There are other bottles from Newport that are scarcer, but this one definitely has the coolest name. There's a Butturf squat, too. Those are not nearly as common as the tall blobs. Newport also had a bottler named D.F. Postlethwait. Imagine that poor kid learning to spell his name!  ~Jim

Charles Clickener (know he was in business for a year or less, haven't found a bottle yet), Henry Rollpiller (seem to be a tad common), John Opertshauser (no bottles yet), Lawrence Umbreit (also no bottles yet)... I think a lot were immigrants, but still...

The Wacker and Birk Brewing co. Moderators can remove this post of they feel it neccesary.
