Wanted: Dr Brodum medicines - 6/18/2008 5:06:49 PM    deepbluedigger   Posts: 221 Joined: 1/12/2006 From: Yorkshire, England Status: offline I'm looking for any example of either of the Dr Brodum pontil or hinge mold medicines: - Brodum's Vegetable Syrup - Brodum's Nervous Restorative Cordial These are pre-1850 English bottles, so far only known in colorless flint glass, although there are rumors of a large size Vegetable Syrup in mid green. Both types are rectangular, tall and narrow, slightly tapered from base to shoulder, with a flared lip, bevelled corners, and embossing on four (sometimes three) sides. Quite a number have turned up in the eastern US over the past 20 years, mostly in the Carolinas and New England, but I can't persuade any of the owners I know to part with their examples Top $$$ paid for any good pontiled or hinge mold example (and serious $$$ even for damaged ones)! Please keep me in mind, and please also tell your digging buddies. A Brodums bottle is my number 1 'want' at the moment. Thanks.
