I did a bit of research on the  Net and stumbled upon the fact that some divers from New Jersey are headed up to hit my favorite bottle site in early October.  I've got a few of the best areas underwater marked for ease of finding them on subsequent dives so I'm headed up this weekend to remove my markers and hopefully (and selfishly) keep any bottles in those areas for me!  These areas have produced a number of 1850 or so bottles over the last few dives.

I'll likely put in some very subtle markers that only I would recognize rather than the obvious ones I have there now.

Hey ad, after doing all the leg (flipper) work I'd definately cvver my tracks thats not being selfish thats just being smart. Is the "infamous" Eastport bottle dump still producing, I know that has been dug/dived for decades.

It is indeed still producing.  In fact this year was possibly my best pulled up a great "Boyd and Beard" mineral water circa 1850 or so and a few other 1850ish bottles.  I'd say I pull up something very nice 33% of the time, things worth keeping at least 75% of the time.  I can find a clay pipe on 90% of the dives and have now been leaving those for others to find.  I have expanded the area I search a bit to areas where divers unfamiliar with the site probably would not go.
