Paul (Bottles141) made this find today. Little wet but worth it. Quart aqua canning jar, great shape with the lid. Embossed "HILTONS/ PAT MAR 10/ 1868 One of the rare ones I guess. Closure had rusted away but still a great find. Took this picture right after he washed it up. Anyone got a current value for this one. He plans to keep it in his permanent collection.

Still some good jars out there if you hit the right spot. Thanks Woody for the listing,Paul got an offer for 400 last nite( sight unseen) on it from a friend. Not bad for couple hours in the rain. Goes nice with the SUN canning jar he dug a while back.

Came from a too obvious dump. On a bank behind an old cellar hole not even 250 ft from a tar road. Found several early beers, blob top sodas and a complete glazed brown spittoon as well. Some other lesser ground top canning jars as well. People have been driving by the spot for years, just goes to show you never know til you check.
