I found these 4 over the last two weeks of diving.  The tall, thin, clear one is very odd:  Shaped like a vase, it had the remains of a cork (and a momma crayfish) in it.  It has seams that stop at the shoulder-rings, lots of seed bubbles, and one large bubble.  It says: "6 FLUID OZ.".  What in the world was it for?  Any guess on date?

The Coke is a 1951 St. Paul, MN, the beer or whiskey is pre-bottle machine, and the mold it was turned in was old, I think--It has these neat waves in the glass that don't show up in the picture.  The jelly jar (I think?) has an Anchor-Hocking mark, but the base looks a tad pink.  I'll leave it out for a while & see if anything happens.

I was thinking pickles or olives too.  Have seen other tall jars with wide mouths that were used for pickles.  You have to be able to reach inside to get them.

I think it was actually an olive oil bottle. Don't remember the brand but it was imported Greek virgin olive oil and  they had a white label with a green border and red lettering. The green and red were metalic or foil like and they had a cork.

Could have been used for something else but olives, pickles and such wouldn't have been sealed with a cork. Turns the product brownish and thats not good for sales.

Here's a link to an earlier debate. http://www.antique-bottles.net/forum/m_34785/mpage_1/key_olives/tm.htm#35555
It's not exactly the same but it's close.

I think mostly these type of bottles must have been used for a variety of products. It is a cool looking bottle anyway.
