What Is It?! Who is it? - 1/20/2007 10:54:11 AM    zeesb   Posts: 7 Joined: 12/20/2006 Status: offline Hi folks I know I'm selling and not collecting anymore BUT, I have this bottle that I'd like to know more about anyway. I believe it to be a German Beer, Aachener Kaiserbrunnen with an inside thread ca. 1880's. I want to know who this brewer is/was. I know the inside thread was not popular as the rubber sheath ruined the taste of the liquid inside. However, any info on who this brewer was or even if it is a beer in the first place would be appreciated. Inside threads are a little more common in European bottles. I vaguely remember Digger O'Dell answering a question about this bottle on his site. If I remember correctly it was from the town of Bad Aachen in Germany. The first word refers to the town and the second word, Kaiserbrunen, means emperor's well or fountain. So it's probably a mineral water bottle. Sorry I don't remember the worth or if it was even mentioned. Jane (in reply to zeesb) Post #: 2
