I was digging for bottles but only found broken pieces, bricks and more bricks, then this showed up. It's only 1-1/4" long and appears to be made of pewter. The I. G. Co. logo is the same as the Illinois Glass Company logo, so I know it is bottle related. What is it?

Looks like part of a stopper. Just a guess.

Hey Dan, It might be part of the cork stopper; the body appears rougher than the top. Just a guess.
