This is an odds question I've been working on for days and instead of asking Maryln von Savant I'll ask all the wise ones here. Here it is. Paula and myself were playing dominos the other nite, there were 4 fives showing on the table, I had three tiles left and not a five in the bunch. Paula lets me know she has no fives left. I'll have to draw from the pile of 15 tiles we have left. I know in this pile there are three fives left so the odds on drawing a five is one in five. I drew 12 tiles and on the 13th I got a five which I was able to play. What are the odds of drawing 12 tiles out of 15 that don't have a five on them? I think that every time I drew the odds went up. If that is too tuff here's another question that I ponder. How many bubbles are in a Coke? Or how many Co2 bubbles are in an oz. of soda? Just wondering if anyone has ever ask this question before. Too much time on my hands it seems or I just like to know everything, well as much as possible. Post #: 1
