What are these letters/numbers on my bottle - 8/26/2007 3:13:35 AM    ShowMeStateBottles   Posts: 96 Joined: 7/29/2007 Status: offline I have two bottles that are the same except that one of the bottles has O-N 20 on the base at the bottom.  Can anyone tell me what this is? I thought the 20 could have been the year it was made, but the seams of the bottle stop about an inch from the crown. _____________________________ Revelation 21:7 Post #: 1

(1894-c.1980). Exact time period when this mark was used is uncertain, but a machine-made soda bottle from around 1920 carries it on the heel. See "N", "N in a circle" and "N in a square" marks. I have three of these bottles two are applied top bottles with slug plate, and the other has the seam going all the way through the crown, and just has plain embossing without the slug plate. So do you think they had Obear Nester make their bottles for them? If so, that's a pretty cool bit of info.
