Hey Guys thanks for the replys .Bob I had a look to see at that color .Very nice i belive it would work well with the darker colors of a lot of the stoneware pieces .It reminds me of a nice neutral stucco color I use in Fl a lot .Kind of a antique white with out to much yellow . Thanks and yes cordilleran ,Bob does have a good eye for display as was quite apparent with his beautiful display .Both his display case and his work space are top notch. So what ya think a flat black or just clean the hard ware down to there base metal color and new brass screws .I have to do some nail work to as it has the square nails that look like concrete cut nails that are corroded badly and a little wood feeling to were there some rotting that took place were it sat on a dirt floor for a while . . Not much though ,I belive the piece was built in the early 1800 as the house it came from was built in 1830. So it in good shape for its age. Hey Rick your to funny sometimes but I can relate as I've meet a few who were questionable to . Thanks agian and good luck diggen all bill
