I dug it out of a dump along with this liscence plate. Anybody have any idea what the lid is or was used for, if it is a lid? also aht's the best way to clean the liscence plate. They were pretty common just before and just after the TOC. They were used on jars about 16" to 24" tall The other things are a car tag, bottles and a cheese/butter crock.
