Hi, I was looking for help. Just picked up this bottle today. Don't know for sure if it is old or new so I thought I would ask the pro's. It is 8 1/2" tall, about 6 1/2" wide and 3 1/2" thick. No pontil mark, Has mold lines up the sides that appear to fade on the neck, and the mold lines go around the base not through it. I'm afraid it may be a new bottle made to look old. Has anybody seen this one?

Any embossing / writing anywhere? Can you provide a picture?

Yes, it is a modern bottle, made to look old. You didn't pay much, right?

Sorry it isn't one of those RARE lucky scores, but at least you didn't overpay!

Ya, you never know. It sure looks good but had a few to many red flags. They really did a good job making it look old.
