I found this in a 1890s dump, Very smooth possibly bone or light soapstone.

The shape and color look exactly like a sharpening stone my father had many years ago, used it to sharpen all the kitchen knives. His was about 8 or 9" long, it was very smooth, but I don't know what kind of stone it was. How long is yours?

check that one good looks like an indian artafact to me there was a stone they use for certin rights they did. seen them go for 1000.00 or better the ones ive seen were vere smooth thanks all bill
