What is this I have?? - 5/29/2006 4:51:07 PM    03Malibu   Posts: 19 Joined: 5/29/2006 From: Maine Status: offline Hi, I live along the coast of Maine, and I've recently come across a stockpile of old bottles and plates,  at least 10 types of bottles, all in near mint condition, one in particular that I am curious about is a small bottle, about 6+ inches, its oval shaped, and has the mark "Carl H. Schultz  C-P M-S PAT. MAY 1868 NEW YORK"  could anyone tell me what this bottle was used for?? Post #: 1

By oval do you mean ten pin or bowling pin shaped? Is it crown or blob top? I have one listed in a 70's book for $8-10. It is a soda of some type as they also made syphon bottles.
