I found a cool bottle buried in the ground.
it says SELTERS and under that HERZOGTHUM NASSAU.

on the back it has a W and Num 124

I went online and did a search and I found this page

http://www.cosbert.com/view_stoneware_cpc142_p1.html

The bottle exactly the same as the one on the webpage. except unfortunately the handle is missing.
I believe it had been in the ground for 195 years or so until I found it.

I was wondering if I could find any more information on what I have here. And its value today.

Thanks

SYMON...there's several types of that bottle known...most date from about 1900 (give ot take a decade)...They were different brands but all put up in similar bottles ...though some had a different color of glaze. Being imports they have but small collector value although they do look "good" sitting on the shelf. Those I have had/seen were priced under $20.00.
Perhaps there are scarce variations that bring more, but I am not aware of any. Did you search Ebay for active & completed auctions? That's usually a good way to begin to determine an item's worth.
Welcome to the Forums and hope you continue to be interested in bottles....Good luck collecting!
