It doesn't bother me to much either. I get alittle itchy but no rash. A friend of mine always rubed himself down with vasoline to keep from getting the rash. Don't know if it really works but he never showed any signs of the rash. Also heard that meat tenderizer works for the sting but never tried it. Most any weed killer that lists poison ivy will get rid of it in time but the ones that are made just for it will kill and neutralize it alway down to the roots. I would spray it with Round Up like you buy at a feed and seed store not that diluted crap from Wally World. Combat Woody Brush and Weed Killer is better if you can still get it. Kills everything but centipede grass. Then remove the top soil down to about 8inches. It is alot of work but it will get the job done. Wear long pants, boots, long sleve shirt and dust mask just in case. Bulldozer works well but is tough on the bottles. Or, like Mike said, "wait till winter"
