Ron,
All states have different laws on tresspassing. now if there is a sign that says no digging then i wouldn't dig. The best possible way to not get in trouble and dig legally would to get permission in writing from the owner of the property. i advise to check with your local authorities on laws about digging. I live in Alabama and they state that any thing found in the ground belongs to them even if the property is your own. so by saying that, anytime I pull a bottle out of the ground i am breaking the law. What they dont know wont hurt them.   Happy digging and be careful. If you can make friends with a police officer that would help you.    Anthony

There is history there. If nothing else local meds will always be there. Some are rare. Have fun finding. I just have fun digging.

Hey Ron, In florida if the property is not posted, cultivated {mowed and kept up}, fenced or is obviously abandoned you can dig legally. Some cities may have additional laws and regulations.

You are in a good area for digging. There is about 400 years of history and some rare bottles all around you. Be very wary of people who tell you things like that.

Dig and have fun.

PS; the Tampa area has some rare cobalt local meds and there are alot of rare straight sided cokes in central Florida.
