Thanks. I like it too. That coke says Dec. 23 1925 on it so it must be a Christmas coke, eh?

Here are a couple of E& J Burke, olive brown crown tops. Anyone ever heard of it.

They have a Cat emobssed on the bottom and E & J Burke.

Here is the only embossment on the bottle, on the bottom.

The cat bottle, I guess... until we figure this out.

And here is a Simonds & Co / Granville /NY
For Spencer. I figure your going to get around to this thread soooner or later. Leave the girlfriend alone for awhile and research these bottles for me. I will send you a care package.

Check out the swirl in this ladies neck.
Even the applied seam twists to a stop. It is crystal clear and mint condition.

Here is a Buffalo Lithia Water bottle with the lady dipping the water with a pitcher. There are four or so worth a bundle, of course I stumbled upon the $40 one. Still it is a nice bottle and a good candidate for a tumble.

Not sure the blob top is the same company. I believe it is a predecessor of the simonds bottles you have. O.C. Simonds. I am researching him now. This is some local news I found on him from July 27, 1877.

verbatim:
"David J. McHenry, son of Daniel and Mary (Baker) McHenry, was born at Middle Granville, July 29, 1877, and received his education in the pubic schools of his native place, after which he worked as a clerk in the Nunson House at Granville for one year. His next position was ina clerical capacity at the Central House, Granville, where he remained for two years. At the age of twenty-one years he entered into the furniture and undertaking business with O. S. Simonds and Owen W. Jones and they founded the Granville Furniture Company at No. 90 Main Street. Two years later, Mr. McHenry completed a course in embalming at the Renouard Embalming College, New York City, and since then he has devoted himself to that particular vocation. In 1902, Will E. Roberts bought out the interests of Messrs. Simonds and Jones, and he and Mr. McHenry have successfully carried on the Granville Furniture company since. The concern, the largest of its kind in this section, its clientele covering a radius of fifteen miles, is located at No. 92 Main Street, the former quarters of the organization having been burned in 1911, necessitating a move. Larger quarters were obtained, due to the rapid growth of the business. Mr. McHenry is vice-president of the Granville Building & Loan Association."

Hey Joel...I dug one of those burke olive crowns....liked the cat on the botttom, mine's super crude with alot of seed bubbles, I'm imagining it to be a super early crown...(perhaps w/ lightning style stopper or cork wired in)....don't know anything else about it though                                            Take care now,...Joe
