scored some nice bottles last week on this downtown lot.  Hit one 22 foot deep hole and one 10 foot hole and scored some goodies including a: Star and Shield Cutter, lime green Hall's Sarsaparilla, Drakes Cabin, ice blue pontiled Townsends, killer yellow Udolfo Wolfes N1 variant (made for the west coast), and a Star Whiskey New York WB Crowell....along with the regular junk.  We were only able to hit two deep holes, but there should be more !!!!

" hit it while its hot "

Nice quality digs there.  Might be one of the few Drakes dug in the past year.  Nice digs.  Thanks for sharing.  Ben

caldigs...

Way To Go, Andrew!!!  Absolutely terrific!!!

How you go about locating a privy on a vacant lot is beyond me...  Underwater, I usually have to spot some bottle fragments or shards and then start diggin in the immediate area.  Boy, you sure have turned over some nice finds. I've been looking for a Drakes for several years now.  I find a lot of shards, but nothing whole... not yet.  It seems that the Drakes glass is so thin and fragile, hard to find intact underwater, but I'll find one someday for sure.

Yeah, and the Drakes Plantation appears to be the more popular and rare 5 log. Nice bottles.

what up Chris,  the one deep pit was round and brick lined down to about 6 feet and then the brick lining stoped.
