Hey Frank, That particular Garrett's bottle has a value of $10 to $15. There is a smaller one that sells for $20.

Frank:

My Dad picked up a Garrett & Co. wine bottle for me earlier this summer at a garage sale for a quarter.  I did some research at that time and found out that Garrett & Co. was the first wine company in the US and appeared to be worth the $10-15 range that Warren already indicated.  Mine is 12" tall and is embossed w/ Garrett & Co., Established in 1835.  It does not, however, have the Virginia Dare name on it.  (I am attempting to post a photo, although I have been unsuccessful in doing this in the past.)

There are several different Garrett's bottles from a half pint to a gallon. All of the are worth at least $10. Pretty good for a common clear glass wine bottle.
