Does anyone know about this chemist bottle,i know very little,i am unable to find it listed in any books,not sure what it contained/value/rarety?

Bermuda,
Pictures are good but also report the embossments and any other bottom marks.  The more you can give us the better our chances of identity.

The lips looks to be a flat applied which would date it sometime in the later 1800's, before the turn of the century.

I've also seen a Riker's from NY that was a perfume.  Small green hourglass shaped bottle

This is just an educated guess, but Wm. Riker may have later been a partner in the Riker-Hegeman drug store chain of New York. There are some very collectible embossed Riker-Hegeman bottles. Nice find, I haven't seen that one before. ~Jim

Found some info Berma, mostly New York Times articles, but it a place to start. From what i gather it was a pretty large firm...

Hegeman was a pretty big NY chemist co. Shouldnt be too hard to find info on them.

Could it be the same Riker who later joined with Jayne? Riker-Jaynes Drug Stores were a large druggist firm.

Here is another Rikers I picked up.

3 and 3/4 inches, clear with an embossed Mortar & Pestle and Rikers (with the R inside the M&P.

I am still not sure if this is the same Riker that Lobe researched. I do find quite a few Rikers druggist bottles here and there.
