The one on the left looks to be a blob top so I'd say

Nice deco soda & an amber milk bottle...

If you're not going back, let one of us know where it is so we can go check it out!

The one on the left.. is it a blob top or a crown with the lip broke off??
I would go back if it looks like a big dump that had been used for a long time.. check for signs of earlier glass.. but if it's one of those small piles in the woods you probably won't find much more than what's lying around.. the amber milk is pretty nice! -Charlie

This is actually from the top layer of a large pile,it's in the woods off of an old farm where i'm finding items from late 1800s to 1930s stuff (metal detecting...).Wish I would have taken a pic of the bottle mound! Top is not broke. Thanks to all for the replies!

Good news.. You should go back! I see it is indeed a blob-top and it is apparently hand-tooled.. my rule of thumb has always been if hand-finished bottles are there, I am there! By the way, welcome to the Forum!!! -Charlie

Welcome to the forum.I agree with the others, definately worth the effort of some digging in the pile.

The amber blob is a Wiedemann beer from Cincinnati and would date to the early 1900's.

A couple more,I'm sure the soda is much newer than the rest.Would the flasks have had a paper label ?
