Not sure if this is the right forum or not, but I bought this Wyeth cobalt blue bottle at a flea market recently for $5.00.  It is 12.5" tall and is blown in mold.  The picture makes the bottle appear taller because it is at an angle.  Today I got the American Bottle Auctions catalog and the same bottle appears to be listed in auction 156. The auction description matches this bottle to a "T".  They estimate it to sell at $200-$400 with a minimum of $100.  Now, I understand condition, etc. affects the value.  What I am wondering is is my bottle the same, or where there other varieties of this bottle?  Any info is appreciated.  Thanks.

I sold this bottle on e-bay a few months back for $100, you did really well if looking to resell it, if not it's a beauty in that size......Tha'ts alot of Cobalt in the window.....Jim

I don't see it bringing much more than $100 though, that $200-400 is overblown IMHO

Thanks for the info, guys.  I was not expecting it to be worth 200-400 either, but $100 or so is quite nice.  I don't have any plans to sell it, but it's always good to know I made a good buy.

That sure is a nice one. I've seen a few but passed even though I really wanted them due to price. $5 you can't go wrong.
I have a light emerald color unmarked but that's about it for the big ones.

That's the biggest Wyeth bottle I have ever seen.  Great buy!

Between bottles and insulators, I have gotten several good deals at the flea market we go to on Sundays.  Next week is the last one till the spring, so I'm hoping there are a lot of vendors looking to unload stuff.

Is that Rietta? I always mean to get out that way. I have a friend that lives in Gardner but she's a church Pastor and really can't take the time off so we can go together. I wish fleas could do Saturday but few do.

No, Hadley.  It runs every Sunday from spring to next Sunday.  We found out there is an indoor flea market in Granby that we will be hitting soon.

A lot of this seller's ("letsgo2Libby" on ebay) bottles have been up for a year. Those oh so high opening bids scare most potential bidders off. One would figure after even 6 months a seller would think about lowering his opening bids if he's not getting any action. Doesn't it cost to keep relisting unsold items?

yup.  Makes ya wonder about how long people will ask a premium on something that has been re-listed for over a year.  Talk about diminishing returns.

They have an ebay store so the fees for listing an item with "BUY-IT-NOW" is cheap, about 3 cents for 30 days.  They have some high fixed prices on their bottles but I guess it only takes selling one or two to make it worthwhile.

Yep...that's where I first realized it could be worth more than I paid for it.
