A poison vial? perfume? thermometer? My buddy Tom found this one in old Ossipee, N.H. dump the base has a polished pontil, the lip is flared and ground and XXX is engraved on both sides with 3 ground/polished  finger spots??? Most say they were perfume bottles. I have seen clear,green and yellow ones. Some have gold paint? in the X groves on the sides. Think they are from Europe possibly France. Really not sure on age, I would guess late 1800's to turn of century or possibly later, but it is hard to say. Don't think they were made in the US. They were imported from Romainian I think.
