Hi Folks!  I found this at a yard sale.  It is a "Pond's Extract"  It has 1846 embossed on the bottom, and is aqua and 4 1/2 inchs high, the bottle is molded.  I'm not to sure on the actual date.  Pond's opened his Co. in 1846 and died in 1852, the Co. soon renamed "Pond's Extract Co."
i bought the bottle for $2 I saw it and just had to buy it. I have no idea about actual value, but my guess would be $7 or so. Here are a Few pics.  Can't really tell the color in the 1st pic, to dark, Sorry!

Thanks again

Your bottle is from the turn of the 19th/20th century.
$2 was a reasonable value for it. Its a fairly common medicine.
The 1846 date is the formulary date of the medicine.

Thanks for the info guys!  I just love finding older bottles that i have never seen, and I am very reluctant to spend alot of money on a bottle at this stage of  collecting, i've been collecting for 4 months,  the majority of my collection so far is from digging, i have posted a bunch of pics of digging finds in the last few months,  you guys are always on top of things, it's great to have the help.

Thanks again!!

Hey Matt!  Very cool cards!  Where would one find that sort of thing?  Flea markets, yard sales or should you go to some dealers of this sort of stuff?, well i'm sure you could find them on e-bay,  what kind of price do they bring?  It would be cool to display the bottles along side the ad cards. Might have to find me a few

Thanks again!

Medicine trade cards usually run about $5-10 on ebay , unless they are rare.
