Not a whole lot to show for 7-1/2 hours of digging but I had a few keepers. Here's the best. I don't usually find whole jugs but this one showed up and suprisingly was all there without any cracks. It's only a half gallon also which makes this jug a keeper indeed. I looked very hard for a signature but couldn't find one. I think that it may be locally made.

Here's a nice anchor flask in a pint size. It looks like it had bluing in it. I would have thought whiskey. It was probably re-used after the whiskey was gone. It has an applied drippy lip. These are attributed to the Baltimore Glass Works.

Here's another anchor flask with the anchor on the bottom. It too has a drippy applied lip and is a 1/2 pint. I think that they were also made at the Baltimore Glass Works.

This was a 1st for me. The local Wayt's medicine in the smaller size on the left is the only one I have ever seen. I have only found a few of the larger size on the right. I recently sold one of the larger ones for $50 so the small one was a great find indeed.

Who knows what this glass lid went on? I believe that it is from a 1/2 gallon jar.

Here's a couple of sewing machine oils. Sperm oil on the left and a Singer's on the right.

...and finally for now a couple of Indian Head pennies too far gone to read the dates. The ground really does a number on these. I also found a domed button probably from the civil war period. Except for the back, which was all there, it crumbled when I touched it. I have found other Confederate buttons here in the past plus 2 US belt buckles so thinking that this was a civil war button is probably not out of the question.

Nice finds!  Have you tried using lemon juice to clean the penny?  I recently found a bunch of coins and that or white vinegar helps.

Your jar lid goes to the Winslow jar.
