I picked this big Scotts Emulsion/ Cod Liver Oil/ With Lime & Soda up at a yard sale today along with this counter jar..I think the jar is new, but it's cool and hey- my wife likes it!   Six bucks for both so why not? The Scotts has a nice big tooled lip, a key mold base, and it's half full of some kind of seeds.  Maybe a magic beanstock?

Necco is a candy company out of Boston, Mass.
I believe they're still in business.
I love their Necco wafers.

Do a google search of their company.

I'd say you got a great deal, nice Scott's, older than the one I have. Awesome jar, and it probably tastes better than the candy that was in it. Necco wafers are nasty, they were the candy that never got eaten when you'd get them trick-or-treating on Halloween.
