I agree but at least they 1) aren't calling it what it isn't, just describing what they see (right down to the Crownford) 2) have a bunch or halfway decent bottles to sell with it.
BTW, thanks for the .pdf it I haven't said it already.

Man I remember sitting in my granddad's kitchen watching the fluffy clouds float past his head, the smell of mimi's manigot wafting through the air, a couple hundred gallons of bootleg wine fermenting in the cellar and him saying to me "you all right boy? you know you ain't right in the head don't cha?"  ahhhh those where the days....

The Gilka Gin (pretty sure it's a gin) is a handsome bottle they sell for about $30 the rest is pretty much crap

I had one of those J. A. Gilkas. A blasted small medicine bottle fell from an upper self in the cabinet and hit the Gilka below it right on the shoulder, cracked it all to the devil. I am still ticked over that, the Gilka is without question a handsome bottle indeed, but as you state is not all that expensive of a bottle.

I dont agree, they posted it in the before 1900 category, that implies its a pre-1900 bottle. I realize they probably didnt know what it was when they posted it. I respectfully informed them that it was a modern repro and should be listed under repros category. Not a big deal, its just sad for people buying this thinking its something authentic.

my point was ... as we all know, never buy something based on a story the seller tells....
