Well, as some one who goes ga ga for local milks, they are very regional. For example, I live in Sayville. You will get the best price for a Sayville milk in Sayville, or online (eBay) where the Sayville people will see it. If you try to sell it in your booth at the co-op in say, Kentucky, it is a 10-15 dollar bottle, as the people like me who will pay for a Sayville milk will never see it. Now, it gets tricky. Again, for example, there are some Sayville milk bottles that I do not have, and would gladly pay hundreds for examples. Now, once I have one, I do not really want another, so the price now drops to what the next guy will pay. Once they have one, it drops again to what the next guy will pay. With locals, the first one or two examples will bring very good money, but by the time you have a dozen of them, the value will fall considerably. My out of town stuff I put on eBay, starting at 9.99, and I see what happens..... Exceptions would be milks that "cross over" into other areas, such as War Bond milks, or picture milks, or hospital milks, or college milks. It is not uncommon for examples that fall into any of these categories to fetch a decent price on a regular basis, as there are more than the few local guys looking for examples.
