Perry Davis was based out of Providence, Rhode Island until moving the company to New York in 1895. The older bottle are typically more squarish, with shorter necks, while the later bottles tend to have the longer neck and sloping shoulders. Your bottle looks to me like a later bottle, but I am by no means an expert on dating them. The Little Rhody Bottle Club book does not list a variation without the "vegatable" embossing. Hopefully it's a one of a kind!
