aluminum wire in tumbler - 1/17/2007 9:52:18 PM    tombstone   Posts: 124 Joined: 12/21/2005 From: wv Status: offline A guy just offered me a bunch of scrap aluminum wire and I'm thinking of cutting it up for my tumbler. Since aluminum is lighter than copper (and softer), I'm thinking it should work well on fragile glass/problem bottles.  Being lighter weight it should also be easier on the tumbler.  I've used plastic bb's but it takes soooo long to get a bottle to look the way I want.  Does anyone have any experience with aluminum and how does it compare to copper as far as tumbling time? thanx Post #: 1
